HENDRICKS -- JOAN FAY Died in Boulder, Colorado, on September 20, 2011 after a long battle with ovarian cancer. She was born in Livingston Montana on April 2, 1937. Her early years were spent in Lexington, Nebraska before attending nurses training in Denver Colorado and graduating with an RN in 1962. Her professional life was spent working at the Red Cross and various Doctor's offices in Colorado, Maryland, and New Mexico. Joan was married in 1958 to Thomas Hendricks who survives Joan. She enjoyed road biking and took many trips throughout Europe, Scandinavia, and New Zealand. Her major expedition was a 4200 mile trip from Virginia to Oregon. She enjoyed spending time with her five children, thirteen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, who survive. She was an active member of Grace Church in Albuquerque and was actively involved in mentoring young mothers. A memorial service will be held at Grace Church on Tuesday September, 27th. The service starts at 10:30am and a light buffet will follow.
