DAWSON -- VINCENT (VINCE) MICHAEL born 11/5/58 in Chicago, Ill. to Helen (Scurlock) Dawson and Leroy Dawson, Jr. He is survived by Carol, his wife of 20 years; his Aunt and Uncle, Marion (Corky) and Luther Harrison of Oceanside, CA; and his brother, David. He died August 26, 2011 at age 52 in Albuquerque, NM from a heart attack after a long history of hypertension and diabetes. Vince attended Chicago Vocational High school before serving in the Army in Baumholder, Germany. He received a BS in Commercial Arts and Industrial Design from Ohio State University. Vince was employed by Chicago Transit Authority for nearly 20 years as a Driver, then Line Instructor, and Supervisor. He was a Transit Supervisor for the Atlanta Olympics in 1996 then moved to Albuquerque, NM. There he drove cross country for Greyhound Lines and also served as Driver Instructor and Union Rep. during his 10 years with them. He was a Prison Transport Officer briefly and has also done work for various charter lines. Since 2010, Vince drove for Rio Transit in Rio Rancho, NM. A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 2:15 p.m., Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe St., Santa Fe, NM.
