ANDREWS -- ANDY Of Belen died July 23 from complications of prostate cancer. Born 1930 in Brooklyn the youngest of four children of Greek immigrants, John and Ethel Andrews. Preceded in death by his brother, Peter and wife, Barbara; sisters, Sophie (husband Lenny Wieland) and Bertha (husband Dick Brito). He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, closest among them, Babette and Mary Dolores, Sophie's daughters. He is considered a father by Laura Franklin, grandfather to her sons, Steve, David and CJ. He was ordained a Servite in 1966 and left in 1969 to marry Judy Booth, who survives him. He is best known as the man with a joke ready to brighten your day. Visitation 8:30-9:30 and Mass 10:00 a.m., August 13, 2011, at Immaculate Conception Church, Tome, NM.
