DEVENZEIO -- Dorothy O'Leary DeVenzeio was promoted to glory on Monday, April 25, 2011. She was a longtime resident of Albuquerque. At the age of 18, she began her career with the Corp of Engineers and in 1941 relocated to Albuquerque. She later transferred to ACF and then the Atomic Energy Commission. She retired as an Administrative Officer after 30 years in 1979. On the UNM golf course, she met Frank DeVenzeio and married him on April 17, 1947. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank DeVenzeio on December 27, 1962. She did volunteer work at local hospitals and Our Lady of Annunciation Parrish. She maintained a close personal relationship with all of her Foo Friends who she grew up with in Atwood, KS. She is survived by her two sons, Mike DeVenzeio and wife, Terri and Pat DeVenzeio and wife, Sharon; two granddaughters, Corina and Jodie; and one great-grandson, Jacob. Dorothy touched many lives and will be greatly missed. A Rosary will be recited followed by a Mass Friday, April 29, 2011 starting at 8:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Annunciation, 2621 Vermont NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. A reception will follow. She will be interred at Mt Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith NE. If friends desire, contributions may be made to Our Lady of Annunciation.
