BOROWIAK -- Loretta Rose (Kalka) Borowiak passed away Monday, April 25, 2011. Born on December 15, 1923 in Cicero, IL to John J. and Josephine (Klosowski) Kalka, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Frank J. Borowiak, Sr. and daughter Dolores (Borowiak) Krause and son-in-law Tom Krause, parents John and Josephine Kalka, sisters, J. Bernice Kalka, Rita (Kalka) Hajek, Claire (Kalka) Favier, brothers, Jack, Harold and Patrick Kalka. She is survived by sons, Frank J. Jr. and Lt. Col Harold G. Borowiak and wife, Paula of Aurora, IL; daughters, Mary Jo and husband, Don Benco, Jeanne and husband, Ernie Adams; grandchildren, Amy Jo (Borowiak) Fangio and fiancee, Anthony Sedler, Benjamin and Joseph Borowiak of Aurora, IL, Sarah Jo (Krause) Carr and husband, Heath of Champaign, IL, Jennifer and William Krause of Springfield, IL, Nate Benco and wife, Monica (Garry) of Rocky Hill, CT, Sarah Beth (Benco) Seamans and husband Ethan of El Paso, TX; great -grandchildren Kaylin and Kendra Fangio, Connor and Nic Garry-Benco, Kaeleb, Zachary, Ali Jo and David Carr, Zoey Borowiak; nieces and nephews. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and lifelong Catholic growing up in Cicero and Berwyn, IL. She and her husband moved to Rio Rancho in 1990 and were members of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, then transferred to Incarnation Church. She was a member of Catholic Daughters, Altar and Rosary, Blue Army. She taught religion in Berwyn for 11 years and was a member of Blessed Virgin Society and Blue Army. Before marrying she was a Postulant for one year at the Benedictine Convent of the Sacred Heart in Lisle, IL. She fought for proper signage in Berwyn, was a dog lover, hated cooking but loved cleaning. Upon moving to Rio Rancho she began praying for a church to be built near River's Edge and anxiously awaited the building completion. The family thanks Incarnation who ministered to our parents for several years, especially Father Rick Zerwas (who truly has a Pastor's heart), Melinda, husband and boys for rides to Mass and meals youth group for yard work, Mary Margaret, Carolyn, Mary Chambers and all involved with our mother and to the staff at Fairwinds Retirement Community in Rio Rancho, especially Jose. To her friend at Fairwinds Christine Jennings for meals and friendship. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm and a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on April 27, 2011 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Road Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE and Meadowlark Lane, Rio Rancho, NM with Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Honor Guard from Rio Rancho and Mandalari Assemblies (son Frank, Jr. is a 4th degree Knight and her father and brother were Knights). Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 am at the Church of the Incarnation, 2309 Monterrey NE, Rio Rancho on April 28, 2011 with interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Boulevard NE in Albuquerque. In lieu of flowers the family asks a contribution to the Church of the Incarnation Building Fund "In Memory of Frank, Sr. and Loretta Borowiak."
