BAUKE -- Barbara Bauke, 84, West Palm Beach, Fl resting comfortably in the arms of her loving husband of 55 years, entered into eternal peace on April 9, 2011, Barbara was born on April 5, 1927, in London England to Alice and J.R. Ruffley. She was a fun loving, independent, free thinking spirit who was an active Unitarian in every community she lived in. She married her life's partner, Walter Bauke, on Sept 27, 1956 and together they raised six children and had many extraordinary adventures. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Walter, of West Palm Beach, her children, Robert (Diane) Bauke of Magnolia, MA, Denis (Linda) Bauke of San Francisco, Charlotta (Terence) Duffy of Overland Park, KS, Walter D. (Ana) Bauke of Olathe, KS, and Leischen (Steve) Bauke of Anchorage, AK, and grandchildren Caroline, Danielle, Nicole, Molli, Zachary, Megan, Caitlin and Andrew, her caregivers Evadne Burke and Geraldeen Ford, and many lifelong friends. She is also survived by her sister, Roberta McArthur. Barbara was preceded in death by her son Erich, and her parents, Alice and J.R. Ruffley. A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 16, 2011 at 1:00 p.m., with a visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m., at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens, 5601 Greenwood Ave, West Palm Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the West Palm Beach Alzheimer's Society.
