POTTER -- Susan Jeane Potter died peacefully on Friday, March 25, 2011 after a ten year battle with Alzheimer's disease. Sue was born on November 7, 1946 in Peoria, Illinois to Frank and Jeane Balcom. Sue married her husband, Jerry, in June 1965 and they moved to Los Alamos in early 1966. She worked at LANL as a Paralegal in patent law for 26 years and retired in January 2004. Sue is survived by her husband, Jerry Potter of Sandia Park, NM; her son, Ken Potter and his wife, Jane and granddaughters, Emily and Olivia; and daughter, Cheri Williams and her husband, Alan and grandson, Thomas all of Albuquerque, NM. Sue enjoyed reading, sewing and traveling to our National Parks, Canada and Alaska. She loved her dogs and training and competing in dog obedience trials. There will be no service and her ashes will be scattered (as per her wishes) in the Jemez Mountains of New Mexico. A private, family celebration of Sues life will be held at her home in Sandia Park.
