TAYLOR -- James V. Taylor Sr., 78, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on March 25, 2011 at home with his loving family at his side. Mr. Taylor is survived by his children, Mary M. Garris, James V. Taylor Jr. and wife, Patricia, Vivian M. Taylor, Robert N. Taylor and wife, Verlinda, June V. Baca and Jon Garcia, and Pamela D'Ornellas; his sister, Mary Lee Bentley and husband, Kermit; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many other extended family members. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his wife, of 54 years, Ernestine Taylor; his parents, Vernor and June Taylor; his son David R. Samora; and his granddaughter, Melisa Toohey. Mr. Taylor Sr. was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 30, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Valley Christian Church, 2850 Gun Club Rd. SW, with a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., Pastor David Morgan and Pastor Bill Morgan, presider. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be James B. Taylor III, Jonathan Taylor, Joseph Taylor, John Garris, David Baca, and Lito Trujillo. Honorary pallbearers will be Christian Garris, and Kaitlyn Lujan.
