ALLYN -- George S. Allyn, Jr. passed away from this earth at the age of 67, Thursday, March 24, 2011 in Albuquerque, NM as the result of injuries sustained from an accidental fall. He was a resident of his chosen home of New Mexico for two years. George is survived by his wife, Dee, of 43 years; his sister, Mary; and brother, John. After graduating from Lehigh University, George served in the US Air Force and retired as a major with distinction. George used his human resources skills to complete a second career in the investment field. Retiring to Bernalillo he applied those skills as an avid bridge player and a punster of the highest degree. George was a master gardener and enjoyed all aspects of horticulture. His joy of cooking and sharing with friends was a favorite pastime. He and his wife, Dee, volunteered at the Watermelon Mountain Ranch rescue center. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him A graveside service will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, NM on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 9:45 a.m.
