BACA -- MaryJane. Our mother, MaryJane Baca (Gonzales), 77, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2011, after a prolonged struggle with illness, with her entire family by her side. We feel an incredible sense of peace and love, and we are overwhelmed with pride at having been raised by such an exemplary human being who generated such a positive and vibrant life force. Thank you for all that you gave us mother, and God keep you safe now that you rest peacefully by his side. She is survived by her son, Joseph Baca; daughters, Marie Baca, Jocelyn Baca and husband Orrmond Pope, Michelle Baca and husband Stephen Kleban; grandchildren, Liv Marie Baca-Hochhausler and husband Josh Trujillo, Britt Marie Baca-Hochhausler and fiance Jude Miller, Orin Pope, Galo Kleban, Juan Kleban; brother, Dan Gonzales; sisters, Gloria Castillo and husband Lorenzo, Kathryn Chavez; sisters-in-law, Emma Gonzales, Esther Gonzales, Rose Armijo and Louise Baca; brothers-in-law Andrew Baca and Alex Herrera, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. MaryJane was preceded in death by her husband, Jose R. Baca; son, Benjamin Baca, parents, Jose Maria Gonzales and Margarita Gonzales, siblings, Virginia Arellano, Theresa VanDame, Felix Gonzales, Joe Gonzales; brothers-in-law, Richard Chavez, Albert VanDame, Epie Baca, Presente Baca, Max Baca, Ben Baca and Skippy Baca; sisters-in-law Barbara Herrera and Christina Baca. We wish to give a very special thanks to the Ambercare Hospice staff and Dr. Christopher Merchant for the extraordinary care given to MaryJane. Cremation has taken place. A memorial rosary service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at French ~ Lomas Chapel with Deacon Lorenzo Castillo officiating.
