KING-JACKSON -- Mary E. A Celebration of Life for Mary E. King-Jackson, 83, will be held on March 14h, 2011 at Grant Chapel A.M.E. Church, 7920 Claremont, N.E., at 11:30 a.m. This loving mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend to many passed away peacefully, at home, the morning of March 8, 2011 going on to be with the Lord. Mary Jackson was born in New Albany, IN, where she was fondly known, from childhood as "Itsy". Mary K, as her husband has always fondly called her, will always be remembered as a strong, loving, independent woman, often with aspirations and dreams that were ahead of her time. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Bennie M. Jackson; daughters, Marsha K. Hardeman and Catherine K. Lucas and husband, Eddie L. Lucas; sons, Marshall H. King and Jonathon M. King; grandchildren, Kenna L. Moreland and husband, Rev. John A. Moreland, Quentin A. Lucas, Jessica E. Hardeman, and Colin Paige Lucas; sister, Margaret I. Durham; four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, numerous other family members and friends.
