BARGAS -- Mary S. Bargas, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, January 8, 2011. She is survived by her children, Ramona James and husband, Billy of Clovis, NM, Margaret Romero and husband, Pete, of Albuquerque, and Anthony Bargas and wife, Dianna of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren, Judith James, Richard Romero and wife, Marcia, Gary Romero and wife, Melissa, Michelle Anaya and husband, Alfred, Martin Bargas and wife, Vanessa, Robert Bargas, and John Bargas; 12 great-grandchildren and one on the way; two great-great grandchildren; sister, Delia Jaramillo; and numerous other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Bargas; one grandson, Michael Bargas; three great-grandsons, Gary Peter Romero, Jr., Israel Anaya, and Isidro Anaya; five brothers, Louie, Joe, Herman, Phil, and Gorman Sanchez; and three sisters, Della Heard, Mercedes Sandoval, and Connie Sanchez. She was born in Jarales, NM to Teofilo and Margarita Gallegos Sanchez and graduated from St. Vincent's Academy in Albuquerque. After graduation she attended Albuquerque Business School. Mary worked for Baldridge Lumber as a bookkeeper for several years and also for Collette's Flower Shop. She was a long time member of the Golden Agers and Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, and sister and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Rosary will be held at French ~ Wyoming Chapel, Thursday, January 13, 2011, 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Friday, January 14, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
