SNEIDERS -- Karen Claudette Sneiders was born May 7, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated to glory on Sunday, December 19, 2010 after a long fight with lung cancer and she is now celebrating life with Jesus. The beloved wife of Janis; loving mother to Karl Brotton and wife Stephanie, Mark Brotton and wife Lisa, and Richard Brotton; adoring grandmother to Gabrielle, Danae, Kyle, Keegan, Siara, and Mariya, she is also survived by many she loved deeply including her sisters, Bonnie Stewart, Loretta Myers, Janice Henshaw and husband Gordon, Darlene Walker and husband Steve, many cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends who she took as her family. She was predeceased by her parents, Claude and Kathryn Bakke. Karen was an accomplished musician, dedicated educator, and advocate who impacted lives of all ages - both of those who knew her and many who never met her. Karen will always be remembered for her love for the Lord Jesus, her love for her family, her love of people whom she always greeted by name, and her handwritten notes of encouragement. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations in honor of Karen be made to the New Covenant Church Benevolence Fund, www.nccabq.org, 7201 Paseo del Norte NE, Albuquerque, NM 87113. Service will be held at New Covenant Church, 7201 Paseo del Norte NE, Thursday, December 23rd, 2010 at 11:00 a.m with a viewing one hour before.
