LAZZARINI -- Eugenio "Gino" Doyle Lazzarini, of Bellevue, Wash., passed away on October 27, 2010 in Bogota, Colombia. Gino was born August 28, 1956 in Durango, Colorado to Henry and Sarah Lazzerino. He was raised in Durango and attended Mason Elementary and Durango Jr. and Sr. High Schools. Gino joined the U.S. Marine Corps on his birthday in 1973. He served honorably until 1977. Upon his return to the Durango area, Gino attended Fort Lewis College and later vo-tech college in Cortez, CO. On his way to school, he met Elisabeth "Lissa" Ellis Holmes. They were married July 21, 1978, in Aztec, N.M. After living abroad, they lived in Colorado as well as Albuquerque for 13 years. They then moved to Bothell, Washington in July 1999, and later moved to their current home in Bellevue. Gino was a hard working individual whose varied career included employment with Santa Fe International, Owner of Snap-On Tools franchise in Albuquerque, rig mechanic for Helmerich & Payne International and principle entrepreneur with Pressed for Time in Bellevue, Washington His specialized knowledge of drilling mechanics necessitated his frequent travel to sites around the globe. Being a world traveler fed his passion for storytelling. He loved the adventure and cultural richness of the areas he explored. Gino was also an avid treasure hunter at flea markets, garage sales and Goodwill stores. He enjoyed camping, hiking, skiing, and hanging with his kids. His hobbies and interests included antique and early style high-fi and electronic sound equipment. When Gino was able, he enjoyed family BBQ's, dark beer, looking for old cars and open houses, perusing online real estate listings, and old trailers. Gino is survived by his wife Elisabeth Lazzarini and their children: Rosa, Gian and Leo Lazzarini, all of Bellevue, Wash. He is also survived by his sister Mary Ann Hofferber of Ft. Collins, Colo. He was preceded in death by his mother Sarah in 2005 and father Henry in 1999. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Hood Mortuary Chapel, with David Fountain officiating. Burial will take place at Lone Tree Cemetery in Telluride, CO., on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 1:00 p.m.
