MARTIN -- Dorothy "Rene" Martin passed away on October 13, 2010 in Farmington, NM. She was born in Rock Island, Illinois to James and Mamie Marre on February 10, 1922. Rene and family moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1955 and after her husband's retirement they returned to Albuquerque to enjoy their grand children and where she resided until 2009 when she went into a nursing facility in Farmington, NM. She was preceded in death by Sherman A. Martin, her husband of 64 years, her son-in-law Howard Jeffrey Hull, grandson Christopher Jeffrey Martin Hull, one brother and two sisters. Rene is survived by three sisters, Vernie Rosene, Val Kaminski and Patsy Averill; three daughters, Sue Miller, Nancy Chavez and Carol Harvey; three sons-in law; Tim Miller, John Chavez and Edward Harvey; seven grandchildren, Matt Hull, Amber Miller, Andrea Miller, Zach Clark, John Michael Chavez, Erin Mata, Leslie Lamb and Timothy Ramczyk; and seven great grand children, Taylor Lamb, Wyatt, Hailey and McKenzie Clark, Nadia, Lacey and Ava Mata. Grandma Martin loved her family and especially all the grand children and great grand children whom she devoted her time and energy to spoiling without regret. Rene loved to play bridge, garden, interior design, landscape, sew, oil paint and cook and was accomplished at all. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always willing to help no matter what was asked of her. She will be greatly missed by all. Services will be held Friday, October 22, 2010, 10:30 a.m., at French ~ Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
