GUTIERREZ -- John Paul Gutierrez, 91, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed gently into the hands of the Lord on October 14, 2010. He was surrounded by all of his loving family at the time of his passing. His love, guidance, support and inspiration to many will be missed, but still felt through his spirit. We find comfort in knowing he is now with his beloved wife, Emma. He is survived by his children, Dr. John Gutierrez and wife Connie, Rafael Gutierrez and wife Diana, Dr. Anne Tafoya and husband Norman, Anthony Gutierrez and wife Claudia; his grandchildren, Damon Gutierrez and wife Yvette, Debbie Gutierrez, Chris Gutierrez, Gina Gutierrez, Maya Fuentes, Nicolas Tafoya and wife Kristel, Leah Granados and husband Ray, and Kristin Gutierrez; his great grandchildren, Samantha, Isaac, Ava and Ryan Gutierrez, Emiliano, Anthony and Oliver Granados; his brother, Ralph Gutierrez and wife Helen; his sister, Genevieve Durand and husband Prudy; his sisters-in-law, Emma Gutierrez and Carmen Franco and husband Dr. Paul Franco; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Debbie Gutierrez, Chris Gutierrez, Damon Gutierrez, Maya Fuentes, Nicolas Tafoya and Kristin Gutierrez. The family wishes to express their thanks to John's Caregivers, Cecilia, Norma, Carlos and Christina. A Rosary will be held on Monday, October 18, 2010, at 5:00 p.m., with Funeral Services on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 8:00 a.m., both services to be held at French Lomas Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd NE. Interment with Military Honors will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
