BRASS -- MSGT Eric E.(Rick) Brass, USAF, Ret., 58, passed away peacefully in his sleep Tuesday, September 21, 2010. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward "Tyker" Brass. He is survived by his mother, Doris Brass; sister and brother-in-law, Anne and Aaron Silva and their children Alejandro and Aundrea; and long-time companion Cheryl Hedgespeth. Eric was born July 22, 1952 in Lawrence, KS and moved to Albuquerque as an infant. He graduated from Sandia High School in 1970. He retired from the US Air Force in 1995, after 20 years of service. Eric was a trivia buff who enjoyed traveling and sight-seeing. He particularly loved the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta and traveling through the Jemez mountains. Eric will be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. A celebration of Eric's life will be held at St. Stephen's United Methodist Church, 4601 Juan Tabo NE 87111, on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 1:00 p.m.
