ANDREOLI -- Elliot Andreoli, 93, born in Dawson NM and a lifelong resident of Eagle Nest, NM, passed away on October 3, 2010. He is survived by Gina, his wife and life partner of 67 years; daughters, Lynette Holbrook and husband, Bruce, Linda Andreoli and husband, Kevin and Ginelle Andreoli and husband, Mark; grandchildren, Adam, Kyle and Taylor; brother Sam; sisters, Helen Cherubini, Katie Haner and Rosie Jaterka; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Bino, Guido and Johnny; and sisters, Edith Ritt and Annie Bergamo. Son of Italian immigrants, Pete and Angelina, Elliot was a lifelong farmer and proudly served with the US Army during WWII. He graduated from Moreno Valley High School and was one of its few remaining Polar Bear basketball players. He was also a dedicated Moreno Valley school bus driver for 25 years. Elliot was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, brother, uncle and mentor to many. His strong, sure, gentle and kind nature will be dearly missed, but his legacy will live on in our hearts. We wish to thank all the medical miracle workers of the following organizations who literally gave him an extra twenty years of quality life; to include the New Mexico Heart Institute and Heart Hospital, Albuquerque Coumadin Clinic, Presbyterian Hospital, Presbyterian Medical Group, Holy Cross Hospital in Taos, Taos Medical Group, Taos Surgical Specialties, Family Practice Associates of Raton, Lovelace Hospital, Heritage Home Healthcare and a special Thank-You to VistaCare Hospice at Lovelace Hospital for making his last days most comfortable. We also wish to express our sincere appreciation to Richard Johnson for his extraordinary care giving services, as well as to the many friends and neighbors for their support. Interment will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
