GONZALES -- Sista Gonzales, age 75, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend, was called to her heavenly home by the Lord to join her beloved son, Michael; her daughter Betty; grandson, Martin; her parents, Pete and Eulalia Acosta; brother, Luis; and sister, Chole who were there to welcome her home on Tuesday, September 21, 2010. She was born in Hillsboro, NM and was resident of Bernalillo, NM. Sista is survived by her loving children, Amado, Richard, Diana and Debra Gonzales; her grandchildren, Orlando Gonzales, Andrea and husband Jesus, Adrian Gutierrez, Juan Gonzales, Michelle Gonzales; great-grandchildren, Isaac, Shannah, Mickey, and Joshia; Also surviving are her sister, Dolores Dominguez; her brothers, Pete and Rudy Acosta; her uncle Traquillino Gutierrez; and other numerous relatives and a host of friends. Sista will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose hearts she touched. Visitations will be this evening (Friday) from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at San Ysidro Catholic Church in Corrales, NM, where a rosary for will be recited this at 7:00 p.m. Final Viewing will be Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., at San Ysidro Church, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery in Bernalillo, NM. Casket Bearers will be Orlando Gonzales, Juan Gonzales, Adrian Gutierrez, Leonard Gutierrez, Leroy Acosta, and Robert Charles Dominguez; Honorary Bearers will be Isaac Gonzales and Mario Dominguez. DUE to the Corrales Harvest Festival on Saturday, the only access to San Ysidro Church will be through the North entrance into Corrales off of Highway 528, or through Loma Larga.
