SOLTYS -- Frank J. Soltys, 75, of SaddleBrooke, AZ passed away September 4, 2010 following a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth "Betty"; brother John; Aunt Virginia Kaczor; nieces, Christine Soltys and Joann Hatter; and several other nieces and nephews. Frank was born in Newark, NJ on December 9, 1934. He graduated from Newark College of Engineering and was a member of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. Following graduation, Frank was employed by Babcock and Wilcox as a start-up engineer on power plants, traveling throughout the country. While working in Albuquerque, he liked the area so much, he decided to stay. Frank was employed by Bridgers and Paxton Consulting Engineers, Inc., for 25 years. Frank and another engineer formed a partnership in a mechanical engineering firm. In 1994 they expanded to include electrical engineering. Frank retired in 1996 and moved to Arizona, settling in the community of SaddleBrooke. He was a member of several engineering societies and a Registered Engineer in several states. Frank and Betty visited family and friends in Albuquerque frequently. He enjoyed golf, traveling and reading. Services will be held in October.
