SIMS -- John "Jack" Sims, 65, was born on December 10, 1944 in Centralia, IL before moving to Albuquerque at age 2. He passed away in his Albuquerque home on August 30, 2010. He leaves behind his family, loving wife, Linda; sons, John Sims and his wife Tracy; Daniel Sims; grandsons, Danny Jr. and Cody Sims; brother, Bill Sims and his wife Rite; sister Susie Chang and her husband Francis; sister-in-law Marty Winquest and her husband Buck; brother-in-law, Steven Barnard; his best friend Tippy Krepfl and his wife Joyce; many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his son John Harley Sims, Jr. and his parents, John William and Ruth Etta Sims. Jack proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967, and worked for 30 years at J.T.S. Enterprises. He loved to hunt, especially with his family and play Texas Hold'em with his family and friends. He was a loving husband, caring father, and faithful friend. A funeral service will be held Friday, September 3, 2010, at 10:00 a.m., at the Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
