LADOUX -- Wilfred J. LaDoux, a resident of Albuquerque since October of 1970 passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010. He was 85. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Lenoir Kelly LaDoux, and three sisters, Evelyn Mollergren of Snowball Lake, Minnesota, Carol Simonson of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, and Ramona Nordin of Granbury, Texas. He is also survived by a son, Thomas D. LaDoux, a daughter, Debra J. LaDoux and a granddaughter, Kea M. LaDoux all of Albuquerque. "Frenchie" as he was known to his friends, had been suffering from COPD for many years passed away at his home in Northeast Albuquerque. He was born at Waubun, Minnesota on the White Earth reservation on December 18, 1924. He graduated from Greenway High School in Coleraine, Minnesota in 1942 and enlisted in the U. S. Army. He served with the 1st Cavalry Division in the South Pacific until his release from active duty in 1946. In July of that year he married Dorothy Lenoir Kelly. He returned to active duty with the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and remained in the Air Force until his retirement in March of 1974. "Frenchie" was an avid sportsman playing baseball, softball, and basketball. In later years golf and bowling became his favorites.
