HOOVER -- John Bertram Hoover passed away on July 17, 2010 at the age of 79 yrs. John was born in Huntingdon PA. He was the oldest of 6 children in a small railroad town. After high school, John enlisted in the Air Force. While on a training trip to Dayton, OH, John met and married (Norma) June Guess. After his time in the service, John mainly worked in "Aircraft Design" Bell Aircraft in Buffalo, NY, Convair in San Diego, CA, and North American Rockwell in Columbus, OH. John and June moved to Albuquerque in 1980 where John was Director of Operations for Sparton Technology. He traveled extensively all over the world throughout his working years and was a great communicator and negotiator. He was also the ultimate handyman and could fix anything! He had many friends and for the past several years has enjoyed spending time at Turtle Mountain Brewery in Rio Rancho. He is survived by his wife, June; his two sons, John (wife Jackie) and Tim (wife Debora); his two daughters, Cindy (Swanger) and Jeanne; his grandson John Will; his granddaughters, Daniela and Andrea; his four great-grandchildren; as well as his two sisters, Ann (Howe) and Judy (Parrott); his brother Frank; and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ellen; and his brothers, Robert and Elwood. A celebration of his life will be held at West Mesa Christian Church, 8821 Golf Course Road on July 31, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Private Interment at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe.
