FRIEDERICHS -- Hans Friederichs Sr., 80, passed away peacefully Friday, July 9, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carmen; children, Hans Friederichs Jr. and wife, JoLeyne, Erika Delp and husband, Patrick, Monika Cafferkey and husband, Daniel, and Jennifer Friederichs; grandchildren, Austin and wife, Julie, Jake and wife, Calie, Walter Jr., Guy, Steven, Josh, Ella and Ava; Hans is also survived by his sister, Ruth Thompson of Clarksville, TN. and many other relatives and friends in Germany and the United States. Mr. Friederichs was preceded in death by his son, Walter; parents, Walter and Martha; sister, Gisela; and brother, Reiner. He was a Master Woodworker and Carpenter. He worked as a Commercial Construction Superintendent and was a 55-year member of the Brotherhood of Carpenters Union, local #1319. Hans loved his family and his beloved dog, Gretchen; he also enjoyed fishing, hunting, talk radio (particularly Michael Savage), cooking and sharing a laugh over a good German Pilsner. A memorial service will be held Monday, July 12, 2010, at 2:00 p.m., at French - Westside Chapel.
