MARQUEZ -- Rose M. Marquez, age 89, died May 14, in Clayton. She was born on October 1, 1920, in Chico, NM to Bonifacio and Cleofas Garcia. Rose was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton and the Sacred Heart Society. She is survived by seven daughters, Rosalie Gonzales, Ruby Farias and Katherine Marquez all of Albuquerque, NM, Rebecca Stewart of Texline, TX, Diana Sandoval of Peralta, NM, Liz Valenzuela of Las Vegas, NM and Danielle Arellano of Clayton, NM; one brother, Adolpho Garcia of Dalhart, TX; one sister-in-law, Peggy Montoya of Des Moines, NM; 19 grandchildren,; 26 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 18 and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 19 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton, NM. Fr. Glenn Jones will be the Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.
