CANDELARIA -- Joe I. Candelaria, 71, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on May 12, 2010. Mr. Candelaria is survived by his children, Joe Candelaria and wife, Debbie, Dennis Candelaria and wife, Carmen, and Cindy Candelaria; six grandchildren, Andrew, Simone, Chloe, Raquel, Santiago, and Xochitl; his sisters, Berna Martinez and husband, Al, Sandra Lucero and husband, Chano, and Dolores Montoya and husband, Freddie; his brothers, Charlie Candelaria, and Johnny Ray Candelaria; and many other extended family members. Mr. Candelaria was preceded in death by his wife, Connie; his brothers, David, Lupe, and Eloy; and his sister, Josie. Visitation will be Thursday, May 13, 2010 in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., by Mrs. Martha Herrera. Final visitation will be Friday at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Father Mike Cimino, presider. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Frankie Montoya, Eloy Candelaria, Albert Martinez, and Richard Montoya.
