OTERO -- Cecelia D. Otero, 75, was received unto our Lord Jesus on May 8, 2010. She was born on November 22, 1934 in Winslow, AZ to Lucas and Matilde Dominguez; she was married to Wilfred Otero on July 2, 1956 and made their home together for 54 years in Los Lunas, NM. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many, Cecelia will be remembered for her 25 years of service as a special education teachers' aide at the Los Lunas Hospital and Training School, as an active member of her church, San Clemente Parish, for her award winning chili, and for her wonderful faith and nurturing spirit. Cecelia was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Lucas and Jose; and her sister Leonor. She is survived by her husband; her four children, Alfred Otero and his wife Twyla of Moriarty, NM, Bernadette Picchione and her husband Tim of Rio Rancho, NM, Jacqueline Otero and her partner Oscar Portillo of Albuquerque, NM, and Luke Otero and his wife Darlene of Santa Fe, NM; her eight grandchildren, Pamela Brandt and her husband Joshua of Glendale, AZ, Phillip Otero of Los Lunas, NM, Adam Picchione and his fiance Sarah of Post Falls, ID, Bryan Picchione and his fiance Lesley of Bernalillo, NM, Samantha Picchione of Rio Rancho, NM, Alyssa Sanchez and her husband Brian of Santa Fe, NM, Lucas Otero and Victoria Otero of Santa Fe, NM; her 11 great- grandchildren, Jacob, Jeffery, Madelyn, Baby Brandt, Sharon, Ryan, Lexie, Annalisa, Selena, Dominik, and Jaden; her sisters, Clara OCampo of San Bernardino, CA, Frances Chacon of Mesa, AZ, Mary Dominguez of Hayward, CA, and Angie Diaz of Bellflower, CA; and her many nieces, nephews and dear friends. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7:30 p.m. at San Clemente Parish in Los Lunas, NM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at San Clemente Parish. Pallbearers will be Cecelia's grandsons, Phillip, Adam, Bryan and Lucas, her godson Dominic Otero, her nephew Walter O'Campo, and Oscar Portillo.
