ROMERO -- Moses L. Romero, 91, a resident of Albuquerque passed away at home on May 2, 2010. Mr. Romero is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Soraida Romero; his children, Janet Romero, Moses Romero and wife, Connie, and Lisa Sandoval and husband, Greg; his grandchildren, Avery, Crystal, Sherise, Vincent, Deja, and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Avery Jr., Gabriel, Julian, and Joseph; and his sister, Elma Torres. Mr. Romero was preceded in death by his son, Michael L. Romero and great-granddaughter, Audriana. Mr. Romero was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II; a member of the Carpenter Union; and an avid hunter with love for the outdoors. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 4, 2010, from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Gabriella Nieto. Final visitation will be Wednesday, May 5, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd. SW, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m., Father Nick Nichols, presider. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery with full military honors. Pallbearers will be Avery Garcia, Avery Garcia Jr., Jacob Chavez, Vince Romero, Gabriel Garcia, and Lorenzo Lucero.
