WARNER -- Douglas E. Warner, 70, died at home after a brief illness, on April 7, 2010. Doug was born in Salina, KS on June 16, 1939. After graduating from high school, he joined the Navy and "rode the waves" on submarines for most of his 22-year career, until retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer III. Doug entered the Real Estate business and soon started his own office, Prince Realty, in Albuquerque, N.M. Doug met his ultimate challenge and love in life, Barbra Walk, in San Diego, CA in 1975. They married in 1977 and together they raised six beautiful children. After touring the U.S., Doug and Barb chose Albuquerque as their permanent home, where they met many cherished friends. Survivors include wife, Barbra Warner; daughters, Cari/Eddie (Kelso), Norman, OK, Stephanie/Tony (Chapman), Albuquerque, NM, Kathi/Pat (Weaver), Montgomery, TX, Connie Hill/Ernie Sypherd, Purcell, OK; sons, Michael/Timi (Walk), Gainsville, TX, Bryan/Lori (Walk), Ft.Worth, TX; grandchildren, Scott, Diana, Kiel, Kayce, Amy, DJ, Sarah, Jennifer, Josh, Jeremy, Garrett, Georgia, Shannon and Sean; great-granddaughter, Skyla; brother Mike/Gay Warner; and nieces Mori/Darvin (Ecklund) and Heather/Tony (Ramos). Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Warner and Jeanne White. Memorial Service will be Friday, April 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Church of the Good Shepherd, 7834 Tennyson NE, Albuquerque, NM.
