GUTIERREZ -- Esparcio Leroy Gutierrez, age 62, beloved son and brother, went to be with the Lord, Friday, April 9, 2010. He was born on December 25, 1947 in Placitas, NM, to Beatrice and Clotario Gutierrez. Leroy was a proud Veteran of the United States Army who served our country in Vietnam. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion Post #69. He was preceded in death by his father Clotario Gutierrez. Leroy is survived by is loving mother, Beatrice Gutierrez; his sisters, Geraldine Escarcida and husband Juan, Miquela Estrada and husband Michael, MaryAnn Aragon and husband Manuel and Bessie Gutierrez; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Leroy will be greatly missed by all. Visitations will be Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, where a Rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. then followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at the Placitas Catholic Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be Juan Escarcida, Manuel Aragon, Adolfo Baca, John Escarcida, Miquel Molinar, Henry Rivera, Michael Estrada, Joseph Chavez and Ian Weinreich.
