WATSON -- Carol E. Watson, a long-time resident of the Village of Los Ranchos, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2010 at St. Luke's South Hospital in Overland Park, KS surrounded by those who loved her most. Carol grew up in Roy, NM and attended the University of New Mexico before starting her career in banking and her family. Although she spent most of her adult life in the Albuquerque area, she also spent numerous years enjoying life in Newport Beach, CA before returning home to New Mexico. Carol had recently relocated to the Kansas City area to be closer to her daughter. Carol could never pass up a good garage sale. She loved all things collectible and enjoyed hunting for treasures to add to her antique and collectible booth. She was happiest when surrounded by her friends and family, and most especially, her little dog, Danny. She is survived by her daughter, Kelly L. Watson and her life partner, Kim Osbahr of Kansas City, MO; former husband and good friend, Gary Watson and his wife Maureen of Little Rock, AR. Carol was preceded in death by her son Craig T. Watson; her parents, Clay (Red) and Marge Bowman; and her brother, Bill Bowman. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all of the wonderful friends and acquaintances who embraced Carol throughout her life. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Lung Association. The Cremation Society of Kansas & Missouri has been entrusted with final arrangements.
