WRIGHT -- Gladys Wright passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 20, 2010. Gladys was born and grew up in Binghamton, NY where she spent most of her professional years working as the Hematology Manager at Binghamton General Hospital. Gladys raised her family in Greene, New York and is still survived by her three daughters, Emily, (Cris) Johnston of Albuquerque NM, Karen MacIntyre of Binghamton, NY and Joyce Kresge of Dania Beach, Fl. After retiring from Binghamton General Hospital, Gladys relocated to New Mexico to be near her sister Anne and to expand her golf game from three months each year to twelve months. Once in Albuquerque Gladys embarked on her second career as Supervisor of Lab Assistants at Presbyterian Hospital. Gladys saw a need for better training of lab assistants and developed a training program that became a six week course that is offered at the Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute. After spending 20 years in NM Gladys relocated to Dania Beach Fl. Gladys remained very active and was able to enjoy golfing and bowling up until very recently. Gladys had a great love of family and did her best to spread her time among the five grandchildren, Brian Whitmarsh, Stephan Kresge, Holly Taugher, Jenifer Kresge and Kelly Abers; Gladys was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on April 18, 2010 at Blessed Hope SDA Church, 225 Bevier Street Binghamton, NY. The Committal service will take place in NM in the beautiful Sandia Mountains that Gladys loved so much.
