MAEZ -- Horace N. Maez, 87, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on March 11, 2010, with his loving family at his side. Mr. Maez is survived by his children, Rosalie Olivas and husband, Orlando R. , Joe Maez and wife, Esther, David Maez, Tony Maez, Linda Sedillos and husband, John, Lucille Hagerty and husband, Bob, Sylvia Cooney and husband, John, Jeanne Chavez and husband, Ruben , Michael Maez, Peter Maez and wife, Stephanie, and Mary Candelaria and husband, Conrad; his sisters, Bersabe Sanchez and Emily Brandon and husband, Rod; 39 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and many other extended family. Mr. Maez was a Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, serving during WWII. Visitation will be Monday, March 15, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 5800 Ouray NW with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. by Mr. John Sedillos; Mass will be celebrated at 10:00, Father Bibeau, presider. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Maez, Peter Maez, Michael Maez, Gabriel Candelaria, Juan Lucero, and Greg Sedillos. Honorary pallbearer will be J.J. Sedillos. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Anna Kaseman Hospital, Hospice Unit, in the name of Horace N. Maez.
