YEOMANS -- Lois Sutherland-Yeomans, age 81, a resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, February 10, 2010, after a long illness. She is survived by her son, David Sutherland and wife, Umie of Atlanta, GA; nephew, Dale McCullough; and cousin, Barbara Strosser; and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother. Lois had two wonderful mates, Ret. Lt. Col. Ed Sutherland and Richard Yeomans, who also preceded her in death. Lois loved life and fought hard to live it fully every minute, despite 33 major surgeries and complex illnesses through the years. She was a long-time member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 49, an unparalleled home economist, and loved a good laugh and a martini. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be held Monday, February 15, 2010, 1:00 p.m., at French ~ Wyoming Chapel, with a Celebration of her life at the American Legion Post 49 at 11005 Central Ave NE from 2:30 until 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
