IVERSON -- Phillip D. Iverson, born July 31, 1934 in St. Joesph, Missouri, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, February 3, 2010. Phil lived a very interesting life, giving over 50 years to the communication industry. He started his career with Mountain Bell to RCA Alaska Communications, American Arabian Oil in Saudi Arabia, then back to the United States to work for Mobile Exxon. Phil then retired from TSM at UNMH in 2003. Phil enjoyed his life to the fullest with his very special wife, Mary Elizabeth aka "Vern". He loved his ranch in Lindrith, NM for 30 years. Phil also loved to hunt, fish and share stories of his active outdoor life. He was a very loving husband and father who gave his "ALL" to his wife and children. Phil turned his life over to Christ and is resting in his loving arms now. Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Cleda Iverson. He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth; three daughters, Sorrel Burris and her husband Tom, Drayanna Masingal and her husband Akard and Captain Lucinda Iverson, USN and her partner Jamie Ray; step-children, Robin Rogers and her husband Mark, Kevin McDonald and his wife Kanina and Ken McDonald and his wife Kim. All services will be held in Lindrith, NM beginning with a viewing at Lindrith Baptist Church from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service to be held at 2:00 p.m.. Burial will take place at Lindrith Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Gasser, Jim Byrd, Cliff Price, Johnny Cundiff, Johnny Cundiff Jr.and Matt Stevenson. Honorary pallbearers will be, Gene Newton, Richard Chaney and Tony Schmitz Jr. Arrangements are being handled by the caring professionals at Riverside Funeral Home of Belen, 418 W Reinken Ave. An online guest register is available at www.riversideofbelen.com
