GOLDMAN -- Stephen Goldman, age 58, beloved husband, brother, uncle and friend, caught the tail of the comet and headed for the cosmos on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 following a lengthy and difficult struggle with leukemia. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Rebecca Goldman. He is survived by his wife and soul mate, Cynthy; sisters and brother-in-law Joan and Sam Ginsburg of NY and Barbara Goldman of Santa Fe; brother, Martin Goldman and sister-in-law, Margaret Barr of Berkeley, CA; He leaves behind nieces and nephews, Adam and Kara, Karen and Jeremy, Sarony and Uri, Cody and Tricia, Danielle and Nick, Lisa, and Michael and Susan; in addition to several great-nieces and nephews. Steve graduated from UNM in 1979 with an accounting degree and became a CPA, but his real love was creating great pottery that came to be known as Laughing Goat Pottery. Steve, we will miss your kind and generous heart, your energy (especially when dancing wild polkas with Cynthy), your beautiful soul, the sparkle in your eyes, and especially, that amazing and wonderful laugh, uniquely yours, that endeared you to the many, many people whose lives you touched. Your resonating honesty, fervent belief in outerspace beings, lack of a scintilla of materialism, brilliant mathematical mind and belief in helping anyone who needed it, all combined to make your radiating uniqueness unforgettable and forever. A celebration of Steve's life will take place on Monday, May 31, 2010 at the Tijeras Open Air Art Market. More details will be available on the TOAAM website and through the Laughing Goat website where, thoughts, stories, pictures and memories of Steve can be posted and shared.
