PEARCE -- Marjorie Catherine Pearce (Nana Margie), 75 years old went to be with the Lord on January 14, 2010. Per her request, her husband, all of her brothers and sisters, children, grandchildren with some friends and extended family present. She was born April 10, 1934 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was married to Johnny Matson Pearce on July 14, 1956 in Albuquerque, NM. She graduated from High School at St. Mary's High School in 1952 and she went to one year of nursing school at Regina School of Nursing. She worked at Mountain Bell Phone Company as a long distance telephone operator in Farmington, Cuba, and Albuquerque New Mexico, and three years for J&J Parts in Albuquerque. She and Johnny adopted their first child, a baby girl born in 1964, and named her Theresa Anne. Three years later they adopted their second daughter born in 1967, and named her Cherie Rene. She was a loving mother and homemaker, and provided a loving home life for her husband and daughters. She always made life fun and exciting. She loved a good argument. Had a vibrant personality, quick witted, and intelligent. Always looking for the good and positive and never complained even though she had Rheumatoid Arthritis for 28 years. Her marriage to her husband of 53 years was a beautiful example of two people in love. She cherished her five grandchildren and loved spending as much time with them as possible. They meant the world to her. She was a loving wife, mother, homemaker, sister, aunt, great aunt, grandmother, and was the most beautiful person you would ever meet. She was passionate about sharing her faith in Jesus and touched many lives. She was one of nine siblings and her family was always very important to her. She was always ready to lend a helping hand and share whatever she had with others. She is survived by her loving husband, Johnny Matson Pearce of Albuquerque; her two daughters, Theresa Anne (Jerald R.) Salmon of Albuquerque, and Cherie R. (Wayne L.) Sager of Midland, Texas; her five grandchildren, Joshua Salmon of Las Cruces, Tamra Salmon of Albuquerque, Shelby, Olivia, and Gregory Sager all of Midland, Texas; her six siblings, James T. Grier of Albuquerque, Mary P. Byrd of Albuquerque, Helen White and Ken of Denver, Colorado, Cecilia G. (Lee) Vikdal of Frederick, Colorado, Michael T. (Lisa) Grier of Albuquerque, Sharon Georgi-Ardourel of Broomfield, Colorado; sister-in-law, Jan Grier of Albuquerque; brother-in-law, Wayne Hornbaker of Las Vegas, NM; and her sister-in-law Overa Gibson of Albuquerque, and over 300 nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her daddy, James T. Grier, Sr.; mother, Mary S. (Slaughter) Grier; her brother, John Charles Grier; her sister, Jane Hornbaker, her sister-in-law, Dorothy Grier; her brother-in-laws, Robert Byrd, Armin Georgi, Damon Ardourel, and Robert B. Gibson. Services will be held Tuesday, January, 19, 2010, 9:00 a.m., at Tramway Community Church, 4800 Tramway Ridge Dr. NE.
