ALBRECHT -- Homer R. Albrecht passed to his heavenly home on December 21, 2009. He was born in Bowdle, SD on May 25, 1929 to Paul and Marie Albrecht. He graduated from Luther Preparatory School in New Ulm, MN and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean war as an air traffic controller. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Christine Mares Albrecht; daughter Julie Stewartson and husband, Brian In 1952 he married Christine Mares. He is survived by his wife, Christine and his daughter Julie (Brian) Stewartson. A service to celebrate homer's life will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 26, 2009 at Grace Lutheran Church. A luncheon will follow the service. Interment will be in the Spring of 2010 in the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM near his home of many years. Homer was a dedicated servant of the Lord throughout his life. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to Luther Preparatory School, 1300 Western Ave, Watertown, WI 53094-4899 or Builder's for Christ through Grace Lutheran Church, 7000 Providence Road, Charlotte, NC 28226.
