TALBOT -- Barbara Talbot passed away on December 1, 2009, following a long illness. She is survived by Lyle Talbot, her husband of 59 years; sister, Gloria and husband Bob Mallory; daughter, Ann Talbot; daughter, Karen and husband, Mark Rohde; and son, Randall and wife, Margaret Talbot. She was the proud Grandma of eight grandchildren and two great granddaughters. Barbara was born on December 20, 1929 in Los Angeles, California. Her family moved to Albuquerque in 1945, where she attended Albuquerque High School and earned a Fine Arts degree from UNM. Barbara was a Master Gardener and past President of Las Amapolas Garden Club, and as an accomplished viticulturist and vintner she co-founded and operated Sandia Shadows winery in North Albuquerque Acres. Barbara loved many family pets, including her Australian shepherds. A passionate traveler, she was proud to have visited all corners of this earth. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, December 5, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd, NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
