BREISCH -- Anne F. Breisch, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 in Albuquerque, she was born to Peter and Anna Franck in Joliet, IL. Anne came to New Mexico after WWII, and joined friends and found work at Los Alamos Scientific Labs, where she met her first husband, Floyd Powell, who passed away in 1977. She later married George Breisch in 1979. George and Anne retired from LASL and moved to Florida in 1980. George passed away in 1991 and Anne returned to New Mexico to live the rest of her life in Albuquerque. She enjoyed her artwork and participation with the WIT group and the Renew Group, and her activities with the church. Through these associations, Anne developed an incredible number of friendships which she held dear to the end of her days. Anne is survived by her son, Michael Powell and his wife, Karen, of Garland, TX; and two grandchildren, Matthew and Candace Powell; two special nieces, Jeanne Gaylor and husband, Robert of Aurora, IL and JoAnn Berglund of Joliet, IL. The Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 7:30 p.m., at French ~ Wyoming Chapel. The memorial Mass will be held on Friday, November 13, 2009, 8:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Annunciation Catholic Church, 2532 Vermont NE. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be given to Catholic Charities, Attention: Development Office, 6001 Marble NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
