MCCUTCHEON -- James H. McCutcheon. After 97 wonderful years, James H. McCutcheon passed away on October 29, 2009. He was born in Rochelle Park, N.J. on August 29, 1912 to Charles and Daisy McCutcheon. He lived in Albuquerque for many years before moving to Las Cruces. He retired from Sandia Labs in 1972. Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Lillian; and their daughter, Muriel Sue Edgel. He is survived by his daughters, Loye Hardee and husband Harry of Las Cruces; Margie Crump and husband Rick of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Dr. James Hardee and wife Pam of Colorado; Suzanne Halvorson and husband Tom of Arizona; Nicole Gabel and husband Brandon of Santa Fe; Richelle Birdsall and husband Gabe of Texas; and Andrea Streight and husband Zach of California. There are seven great-grandchildren, Stephanie and Aaron Hardee, Ethan, Morghan, and Maddox Birdsall, Tyler and Kailey Streight. Jim's joys in life were his beloved family, his many friends, stamp collecting, bridge, and traveling.
