COX -- Eugene "Gene", 82, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2009. He was born in Kansas to Nelson and Maude Cox. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Jean Cox; children Pat Robertson-Meserole and husband Steve Meserole and Gary Cox and wife Cheryl; grandchildren Mike Boren, Kimberly Sanders and Justin, Steve and Jim Cox; seven great-grandchildren; and brother Chester Cox and his wife Jane Cox; and many nieces and nephews. Gene loved to fish and garden. He was a volunteer at Kaseman Hospital for eleven years. He retired from Sandia Labs after 32 years of service. Gene served in the US Navy during WWII. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 4, 2009, 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at French Lomas Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Service will be Thursday, November 5, 2009, 10:00 a.m. at French Lomas Chapel. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
