BOYD -- Thomas M. Boyd, 66, a resident of Socorro, New Mexico passed away Friday, October 30, 2009. Mr. Boyd is survived by his wife, Gretchen M. Boyd; his children, Tracy Boyd-Griego and Thomas Boyd; his sister, Marlene Thompson and husband, Bill; six grandchildren, Brittany Boyd, Jordan Griego, Alexander Griego, Jarrod Boyd, Shane Boyd and Benjamin Gordon; his in-laws, Eugene and Betty Myers; the mother of his children, Mary Boyd; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Boyd is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mercedes Boyd and his sister, Martha Smith. Mr. Boyd was a member of the Catholic Church, a retired US Air Force Veteran serving during Vietnam and a recipient of the Purple Heart, and other awards and commendations. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Deacon Harry Beare. A Committal Service for Mr. Boyd will be Thursday, November 5, 2009, at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. with full Military Honors. Pallbearers will be Tommy Boyd, Alex Griego, Jarrod Boyd, Shane Boyd, Kevin Myers and Eugene Myers.
