HUGHES -- Judith J. Hughes, a 53-year resident of Albuquerque, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at the age of 77. Judy's family was her pride and joy. She is survived by her beloved husband, Duane Hughes; daughter, Cynthia Hatley and husband, John, with their children, Christopher and David; son, Doug and wife, Kristin, with their children, Devin, Ryan and Sarah, all from the Albuquerque area. Judy's sister, Mary Ellen and husband, Hank Roberts reside in Akron, OH; her brother David and wife, Carole Eisenhart, reside in Uniontown, OH. She is also remembered by many as a wonderful aunt, cousin, and friend. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Newton and Ethel Eisenhart Sr., brother Jack Eisenhart, and brother Newton Eisenhart, Jr., all from the Akron area. Judy graduated from Heidelberg College and, although primarily a homemaker, she held several administrative positions in Albuquerque. She and Duane enjoyed over 50 years of membership at First Presbyterian Church, Lobo Basketball, and NMSO concert attendance. She will always be remembered and appreciated for her amazing wit, her unparalleled potato salad, and her award-winning piecrust. A memorial service will be held in Albuquerque on Sunday, November 8, 2009, 3:00 PM, at Trinity @ the Marketplace, 2500 Chama Rd. NE, 87110, Rev. Michael Kelshaw officiating. Ennichement will be by private ceremony at a later date.
