DAPO -- Edward Howard Dapo Jr., 71 of Albuquerque, passed away on October 27, 2009. He was born on March 2, 1938 to Edward Howard Sr. and Rosemarie (Pill) Dapo. Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Romona, of 50 years; his daughters, Cathy and Karen Dapo; and his mother-in-law, Antonia Candelaria. He is survived by his sons, Anthony Dapo and wife Erlinda, Tom and Eddie Dapo. He is also survived by his daughter, Lynn Cooper and husband Ray; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Also surviving him are Kathy Asmus, Virginia Ramirez and Matt Johnson. Edward was a veteran of the US Navy, serving in Korea and Vietnam. He was also retired from APS. He loved playing and coaching baseball, playing at the casino and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. on Monday November 2, 2009, followed by a Life Celebration Mass at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. with Military Honors.
