NUANEZ -- Eva Nuanez, 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Monday, October 26, 2009. She was born July 3, 1930 in Alameda, NM. She was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernie; her parents, Marianita and Jose Duran; two sisters; and five brothers. She is survived by five children: daughters Elaine Armijo and husband Manuel, Sandra Maes and husband Bill, Liz Mulligan and husband Pat; sons Stevie Nuanez and companion Thomasine Eagle, and Anthony Nuanez. She is survived by seven grandchildren Dominic, Angelo and Monica Abeyta, Jesse Armijo, Shane Mulligan, and Samuel and Noah Nuanez; two great-grandchildren Timmy Abeyta and Sativa Abeyta. Sisters Trinie Sanchez, Corine Santillanes and husband Robert, Rosemary Sena and husband Orlando of South Gate, CA and Nettie Duran; brothers Eusebio Duran, Charlie Lucero and wife Esther; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and many special friends. She enjoyed golf and watching sports. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved going out to eat, shopping and going to the casino. She was very involved in all her children and grandchildren's activities. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Thanks to all the family and special friends for their visits, phone calls, prayers, and delicious food. A special thank you to Julee Dana, her nurse, and Carmen Medran her caregiver from VistaCare Hospice. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, October 30, 2009, 9:00 a.m. at The Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Rd., NE.
