CAMPBELL -- Helen Lorraine "Cissie" Campbell, 77, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly while vacationing in Arizona on October 21, 2009. Born March 1, 1932 in Junction City, Kansas to George and Helen Moses, Cissie grew up in Kansas. In 1953, she met and married Lt. Robert E. Campbell. During their 56 years of marriage, Cissie and Bob delighted in the joys of their growing, active, and loving family. Cissie is survived by her husband, LTC (US Army retired) Robert E. Campbell; her sister, Janice Durrett of Kansas; her adult children, David S. Campbell and wife Shelly, Joseph Mark Campbell, Cathy Sanchez, Carter Jay Campbell and wife Elena; grandchildren, Melissa Campbell, Brittany Saldivar and husband Jose, Sean Austin, Heather and Damon Campbell, Moses Campbell; great-grandson, Ivan Saldivar and numerous other relatives. Cissie volunteered nearly 6,000 hours at the Presbyterian Hospital Gift Shop, was a 27 year volunteer with the Presbyterian Hospital Auxiliary, and was active in the Puerto del Sol Ladies Golf Association. She enjoyed her family and friends to the utmost, was much loved, and will be sorely missed by all. A service celebrating Cissie's life will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 114 Carlisle Blvd., SE. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Cissie's memory to Meals on Wheels, 5901 Harper, NE, ABQ 87109 or the Burn Fund, Dept. of Surgery, UNM Health Sciences Center, #1 UNM, ABQ 87131.
