APODACA -- Avelina "Evelyn" Apodaca, age 81, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, October 22, 2009. She was born on January 16, 1928 in Chilili, NM and was a resident of Albuquerque, where she was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose "Joe" Apodaca in 2004. Evelyn is survived by her loving children, Robert and wife Arcadia, Larry and fiance Theresa, Anthony and wife Loretta, Michael and wife Anne, Maryann Silva and husband Richard and Dorothy Apodaca; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, Carlos Montoya, Tony Montoya and wife Vera, Roy, Albert, and John Montoya, Victoria Armijo and husband Ernest and Sylvia Garcia and husband Lorenzo; and other numerous relatives and friends. Evelyn will be greatly missed by all. Visitations will be Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. also at the Church. Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens. Casket Bearers will be Roberto Apodaca, Rick Winters, Nestor Montoya, Johnny Montoya, Estevan Romero and Mark Garcia.
