THOMPSON -- Eugene S. Thompson, 87, a long time resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2009. Eugene was born in Bedford, IA and was raised in Baxter Springs, KS. He is survived by his brothers-in-law, Otto and Bernd Felger; and two sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 38 years, Dorothea; his parents Clark and Florence Thompson; and his brothers and sisters. Eugene was a retired US WWII Veteran, where he served as a Military Policeman. He was also retired from the City of Albuquerque as a corrections officer. A graveside service will be held with full US Army Military Honors on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, in Santa Fe, NM.
