GIBSON -- Dolores Gibson, born September 5, 1930, a resident of Albuquerque since 1958 died Friday, October 2, 2009. She is survived by her children, Michael Gibson, Donna Gibson Trujillo and husband, Scott of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Joy Gibson and husband, Glen Finley of Albuquerque, Joshua Gibson and wife, Ann Koch of Portland, OR; Sarah Jenkins and husband, Ron, and Chaston Cooper of Albuquerque; great-grandchildren, Nicole Gibson, Erin Finley, Ryan Jenkins and Sean Jenkins all of Albuquerque and Beatrice "Lady Bea" Gibson of Portland, OR; great-great-grandchildren, Gavin Ray Gibson of Albuquerque; nephews, JR Mc Daniel, and wife, Kathy of Albuquerque, Darrell Mc Daniel of San Francisco, CA; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and family throughout the country. Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Gibson. She was a founding member of Del Norte Baptist Church, known as the Matriarch of her neighborhood, Gran to all kids, young and old throughout the community and one of the last great Southern Bells. Services will be held Thursday, October 8, 2009, 11:00 a.m., at French ~ Wyoming Chapel, with Pastor Kevin Warner officiating. Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro Dr. NE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Assoc.
